Kucoin is a popular exchange used by many investors and traders. Due to regulatory restrictions, Kucoin is no longer officially available for US traders. For those who used Kucoin prior to this change and are trying to get their Kucoin transaction record history, we recommend following our instructions for CSV import.

There are two options for Kucoin Import, API and CSV, which are each listed below..

Step-by-Step Instructions to Import Kucoin API:

Step 1: Log in into your KuCoin account, hover over the profile icon in the top right corner, and select API Management (https://www.kucoin.com/account/api). Click the Create API button.

Step 2: Enter a Name (Zenledger) and passphrase of your choice (passphrase must be 7-32 characters with no spaces).

Step 3: Make sure API Restriction is marked General. Select No for IP Restriction and click Next. For security purposes, please do not check the Trade and Withdrawal permission boxes for this API key.

Step 4: Enter your trading password, email verification code and Google verification code. Once you do that a pop-up box will appear with the API details.

Step 5: Copy the Passphrase, Key and Secret and paste into your ZenLedger account. Go to Wallets tab > click Add Wallet/Exchange > search Kucoin > Kucoin API to do so. Then click Import and the API will import transactions.

Step-by-Step Instructions to Import Kucoin CSV:

Step 1: Login into your Kucoin Account.

Step 2: Click on Orders and then select “Spot Trade History”.

Step 3: Click on Export.

Step 4: In the Market section, select the checkboxes for “Deposit/Withdrawal,” “Spot Orders,” and “Convert Orders.”

Step 5: Choose the desired time range and select your current timezone.

Step 6: Set the file type as CSV and click Confirm.

Step 7: Download the zip file, unzip it, and import the relevant CSVs into Zenledger exactly as they are in the unzipped file.

  • Convert Orders_Filled Orders

Note: The software will only accept the files if they are in the exact format as would be generated in the files from the steps listed above. Please follow the steps exactly in order to get the correct files to import your complete Kucoin history (or the history that you currently have missing) into your ZenLedger account.
